Doug was born and raised in Spokane, WA, graduating from Rogers High School. He met the love of his life, Lydia, in 1980. Doug had been dating Lydia's best friend and was seeking advice from Lydia for their relationship. After that relationship ended, Doug invited Lydia out for a boat ride on the lake, which was the start to their dating relationship. They were married in 1982 in Austin, TX. They have three married biological kids, Cassaundra and her husband Tony, Brendan and his wife Jocelyn, and Cameron and his wife, Nicole, and two married foster kids, Amber and her husband, Will, and Josh and his wife, Abby, as well as over 10 grandchildren. Doug went to church every Sunday as a child and believed he had passed the test but realized later in his life that he had not truly surrendered his life to the Lord. When he was 35 years old, his wife had recently become a Christian and was modeling a Christ-like life in a manner that brought Doug to realize he had not fully submitted his life to the Lord. Watching her transformation fostered a desire in his heart to pursue the Lord and give his life to Him.
"My passion is for God to be glorified and that my actions would point others to Christ."
Doug is an Electrician and has owned and managed Enterprise Electric Inc. for over 30 years, specializing in residential, remodels, and commercial electrical projects. Him and his family began attending Shiloh in 2003 after seeking God's direction in looking for a new church and hearing the Pastor speak on KMBI. Doug has served as an Elder from 2008-2011 and was reelected January 2017 currently serving as the Secretary. "It is a great honor to serve the Lord at Shiloh as an Elder. I love the people at Shiloh and their hearts to love and serve God. I have been very blessed to serve on the council of Elders with a lot of very godly men. My passion is for God to be glorified and that my actions would point others to Christ." Doug enjoys spending time with his wife and grandchildren, traveling, golfing around the Pacific Northwest, and exploring God's beautiful creation.
We are so pleased to have him on our team! If you want to get to know Doug better, have questions, or would like to send him a note of encouragement, you can do so by sending an email at the link below.
